Across Queensland, a number of memorials and plaques commemorate Australia’s submarine history and the people who served. These sites preserve important stories of service, sacrifice and the role submarines played in Queensland’s wartime history. We encourage members and visitors to explore these locations and take the time to learn the history behind them.

Note: If you are heading further North there is a Memorial Walk at Emu Park well worth a look. The Singing Ship monument is quite unique.

An Informative River walk with plaques that tell the story of the USN Submarines based here in WW11 along with our own Australian Submarine History. The bench seats etc. also tell a story. A model Submarine, part of the Trail is where the spreading of Ashes is carried out.
